Hello and welcome to Best Case Worse Case. I'm your host, Francie Hakes, former state and federal prosecutor,

an executive producer of Audible's next level featuring Brian Branch.

This episode is going to be a little bit different from Best Case Worse Case typical episode.

We've done some worst case scenario episodes before that I know that our longtime listeners are familiar with.

You might notice that my podcaster host crime partner Jim Clemente is not on the podcast.

He will be back hopefully next week. He's traveling currently after a wedding in the family outside the country.

So Jim is off gallivanting around and so I'm solo. And this is going to be a little bit different podcast this worst case scenario.

I wanted to talk to you all about something really serious and what I really wanted to do is have a conversation.

I really want to have a discussion about this problem that I think is so incredibly intractable and baffling and scary all at the same time.

I'm sure you know you're all aware even our well especially our listeners around the world are completely aware of the horrible massacre that started in Israel this past Saturday by the terrorist group Hamas.

And I know that there are people all over the world in different groups. We've had you know law enforcement people elected officials student groups schools private citizens celebrities, whoever.

People have opined in different ways on you know what they call the Palestinian Israeli conflict.

And that's not what I want to talk about and that's not what I want to ask you all sort of weigh in on with me.

What I want to talk about is war crimes against children and crimes against children generally you all know that I'm a former state and federal prosecutor who specialized in crimes against children.
