You are a veteran of the 10th Mountain Division part of 18th Airborne Corps I would say just probably one rung below the 82nd airborne opposite,

which is not what I was in.

But you're also running for political office in North Carolina, and I think we've got

some mutual friends as well, but we'll get into all that later.

Oh, it's going good, brother just uh out and about i spent this

morning out at the polls uh just trying to get some folks motivated for early voting but yeah man

i'm just uh just just just shooting in maneuvering shooting a maneuver yeah uh where you said

you grew up in Fayetteville north carolina and there's uh there's an old saying about that

people are either brought there or left there.

So you come from a line of veterans, obviously.

No, that's the thing about me, man.

My family goes back to the region to the 1730s.

We've fought in every single American conflict,
