Summary

In this episode, I talk about the biggest opportunities in a world that is distracted and scattered. I noticed at the park that most people are physically there but mentally somewhere else, glued to their phones. Presence and awareness are now rare, and that makes them extremely valuable. When everyone else is distracted, the person who can stay fully present stands out. The opportunity belongs to those who can focus while the rest of the world checks out. Show Notes: [02:35]#1 Understand that presence, when you have it creates safety, trust and authority.  [10:55]#2 Distraction has trained you to miss details.  [15:58]#3 Proximity is not participation. [19:25] Recap Episodes Mentioned: 1025: The Opportunity Is In The Opposites Next Steps: --- Power Presence is not taught. It is enforced. If you are operating in environments where hesitation costs money, authority, or leverage, the Power Presence Mastermind exists as a controlled setting for discipline, execution, and consequence-based decision-making. I was at a park with my kid and actually when I started coming up with the notes for this very episode,

I was at a part with my kid. And I noticed that every other parent there or here when I was

taking these notes, was looking at their phones. Most of them were not even paying attention

to what their kid was doing. So if their kid popped up crying, they wouldn't know

what actually happened unless they went off the words of their kids. The kid ran out of the park.

1:16.4

They wouldn't know because they weren't looking. And they weren't paying any attention whatsoever.

Now, while I do understand when your kids are older, you may not have to watch every single

They get unsupervised playtime.

They don't need as much, no minute by minute observation.

There is still the element of awareness that I believe is always necessary if you're going to be there.

If you're coming to the part with your kids, then be aware of what's going on. I mean, be where you are, as I like to say, if you're not going to be aware and this is going to be playing and you're not paying any attention, then just send them to the park and then you go do something else and then you come pick them up or let them come home by themselves. What's the point even going if you're going to be on the phone the whole time? I mean, you can go sit in a car. Now, we live in a world where attention is fractured,

outsourced, and because of this, it's now valued at a premium because it has to come from a human on some level.
