Most anyone working at the diners where I got some fuel before heading up the mountain probably knew who I was.

My car and I would traverse the trail-rich road.

Stopping on the viewpoints along the road, I would observe the wildlife.

Rolling green would lay out in front of me, dotted with the remnants of snowfall.

I would make sure to stop at every given opportunity and take a few good breaths to slowly acclimate myself to the higher altitude and lower intake of oxygen.

That's what I used to do anyways.
