1:02.3	School of Social Sciences at Birmingham City University. And she's so smart, Lance. She sometimes
1:08.9	will send us research papers that we just love to read.
1:13.0	And this is what happened this time.
1:14.8	She wrote one with Laura Richards, and it's called The Elephant in the Room,
1:19.8	toward an integrated feminist analysis of mass murder.
1:23.8	And it was a very interesting research paper,
1:27.2	and we're so lucky to get to unpack it with
1:29.6	Professor Liz Yardley. Her papers never read as super heavy on the academia side. And in this paper,
1:37.4	they're really trying to identify the why behind mass shootings and how most of them, the majority
1:43.6	of them, have an origin in domestic abuse.
1:46.8	Yeah, it's a fascinating piece of work, Lance. I was blown away. I had never considered that or
1:52.2	thought about that, and I was shocked to read all that. So yeah, it's a very interesting conversation,
1:57.3	hopefully useful info for our listeners. And Liz also has a helpful website for anyone working on
