In Texas and Pennsylvania, two distraught families were haunted by similar yet different tragedies.

Blake Ruff had lost his beloved wife to suicide in 2010. The other in Pennsylvania had lost a family member too, way back in 1986,

after a broken home and a tumultuous couple of teenage years. Both camps hoped to get closure

into the lives of their missing loved ones. But what they really find was more questions.

Identity, elusivity, mysterious letters, and an identity

thief whose life was lived as many women, both dead, alive, and imagined. Today on Ghost Town,

the mystery of Kimberly McLean. In 2003, Lori Erica Kennedy moved from Bedford, Texas to Carrollton, Texas, where she met a man named John Blakely, known as Blake, Ruff, in a local Bible study class at Northwest Bible Church in Dallas.

Ruff was the son of a socially prominent family in East Texas, and he was intrigued by Kennedy.

Later, Ruff described her as being incredibly

secretive, particularly regarding her past. As the two were getting to know each other,

Lori told Ruff a super shorthand and a bit mysterious version of her life story. She said she was

from Arizona, that her father was a failed stockbroker, that she had an unhappy childhood

after which both her parents had died, and that she had no siblings. This seemed good enough
