Summary

There are seven basic fears. According to the great success writer, Napoleon Hill, these fears include poverty, criticism, ill health, loss of love, old age, loss of liberty, and of course death. In my experience, the two fears that keep us stuck, paralyzed from taking action on our goals and dreams, are the fears of criticism and the loss of love. Wired for survival, we’re terrified of being rejected by the tribe. We suppress the desire for something different in order to maintain someone else’s approval. We make criticism and disappointment mean that someone will love us less. But as Mel Robbins says on today’s episode of The Quote of The Day Show, people can be disappointed in you and still love you. You need to do what's right for you. It's your life.
