Summary

In this episode, I break down what calibration really means and why most people get it wrong. Calibration is about adjusting your energy, presence, and behavior to fit the moment, not shape shifting to please others. The paradox is this: the better you get at calibrating, the less you actually have to change. High performers don’t become chameleons, they become more of themselves. When you do that, the world starts to align with you instead of the other way around. Show Notes: [01:58]#1 Calibration is rooted in awareness, not adaptation. [05:57]#2  Calibration is just a volume adjustment of where you're at. [09:40]#3 Over calibration is a sign of weakness.  [13:57] Recap Episodes Mentioned: 2512: How To "Read The Room" Next Steps: --- Power Presence is not taught. It is enforced. If you are operating in environments where hesitation costs money, authority, or leverage, the Power Presence Mastermind exists as a controlled setting for discipline, execution, and consequence-based decision-making. The calibration paradox.

First, let's start with the definition, as we are prone to do around here.

So what is calibration?

0:15.9

Calibration is the art of adjusting your energy, your presence, and your behavior to fit the environment.

We just talked about this yesterday when we were talking about the quote unquote authenticity.

So calibrating means just adjusting as necessary wherever you are to fit whatever you're trying

to get done where you happen to be or whomever you happen to be in front of or a combination

of book.

0:36.3

But there's a paradox in here.

0:37.8

Now here's the paradox.

0:39.0

The better you get at calibrating, the less you actually have to change.

0:43.7

So let's talk about what does that mean?

0:45.8

Most people think calibration means that you shape shift for other people, i.e. code switch.

0:52.0

So I mentioned yesterday that you may shape shift to please people.

0:56.8

Some people call this being a chameleon. Some people call it code switching. The reality is the highest

1:01.8

level performers actually calibrate by becoming more of themselves, not by adjusting themselves

1:08.9

to others. And there's a difference.

1:11.5

What happens is the world aligns with you accordingly as you become more of you.

1:16.7

That's actually the way that you calibrate, not by shape shifting, being a chameleon or peribiale code switching.

1:25.3

Let's talk about what all this means.
