Laurie Kilmartin. She is a fantastic comic who when you say say they can make anything funny, that is not often tested.

But for Lorry, it has been tested a couple of times.

Not only did she release a fantastic comedy special called

45 jokes about my dead dad, which if you are an aficionado of the sort of

cliche dead dad shows that we see at the Edinburgh Festival. It is pretty much the opposite of that.

It is proper snortingly funny club ready jokes. Club ready?

Of course they're ready for clubs. But jokes that work in clubs, it is like a really tight and very, very funny hour of stand-up, with a focus far more on comedy and comic premises than on emotion, although there's a brief moment of emotion. and to COVID-19 early this year and live-tweeted the experience of the long-term

experience of her final moments with her mother the anticipation of her

passing and it really has to be seen has to be

read to be believed it is heartfelt and heart-wrenching and laceratingly funny

as well so when I say that she's able to make anything funny,

it's not just that she can crack a brilliant topical gag in her position as a monologue writer for Conan O'Brien,

or indeed in her own stand-up, but she is also able to find the funny in pretty

much anything.
