Our guest today is David Baldachi.

He's the author of 37 novels for adults, mostly in the mystery and thriller genres,

each of which have become both a national and international bestseller,

including his debut novel Absolute Power, which was adapted into a feature film star in Quintistwood.

David has also published seven books for younger readers, including his heroic fantasy novel The Finisher, the first

volume in the Vega Jane series, which also includes The Keeper, the Withth of the World, and

the Stars Below.

Okay, so the finisher was your first fantasy novel.

So just tell us a bit about your background as a fantasy fan.

Well, you know, I grew up reading a lot of fantasy works.

I was a big Lord of the Rings, Lewis, Lewis Carroll.

I loved fantasy to dealt with animals pretending to be human beings and so it was just you

know as a little kid your imagination runs wild and kids love alternate universes because they can really

I think embrace that and so as a kid I enjoyed it and

as adults I got to the point where I'm going to try my hand at writing one.
