I'm very well.

Good to see you.

Very nice to have you here. Thank so you're actually British although you haven't

spent a lot of time now recently now I was I was born in Nottingham in England and

I was educated and brought up in England but for the last 23 years

I've been living outside England in Portugal and in France mostly in the Dore Valley and

in Bordeaux. What was the first introduction to wine?

My first introduction to wine was probably illegally young

because my dad was a great wine lover

and francoph and he used to write a lot about wine he wrote books about wine he was a journalist and so our house was just full of wine and he used to love sharing his wine with anybody but I was around

more than most people and so he shared a lot of wine with me and so I got to taste some wonderful wines with him from an extremely young

age and it was a wonderful experience to discover wine in that way with someone who knew what

they were talking about and could explain what it was I was discovering.

What was your dad like?

Completely in love with the whole business of winemaking and all that wine meant.

You might say he was someone dedicated to the idea that life should be fun.

And he spent most of his life having fun and an awful lot of it having fun with wine.
