Ah, Jean-Lick Goddard's final picture and his suicide note. Many are saying that he's never won best director. One of his films has never won best picture. And my sources in Tinseltown are saying that this 20-minute short film will perhaps be kind of a makeup Oscar. His Gangs of New York. No, wait, the departed, if you will.

That's right.

Yes, course, they didn't win shit for gangs of New York.

Wait, did it win any technical Oscars?

No, he actually won zero Oscars.

And that's the kind of fact that I carry around in my head.

Wow.

Precious childhood memories are being dropped.

I know people were sitting at their keyboard ready to jump on to correct me. I don't care. Please stop. Yeah. So the films that we saw at Tiff, you had a press pass. I had an industry pass, which is basically the same thing. Pretty much, yeah. And we were able mostly to go see movies that like happen during press screening. So usually they're very early in the morning. And you just go, you show your past, you can go and see the film. They show the really popular ones early in the morning to thin out the herd. That is correct. So, you know, get up very early to see your new Miyazaki. Well, it's a good thing my friend doesn't program movies at midnight or anything. Otherwise, maybe I'd be in trouble.
