Hello Heroes and welcome to another exciting episode of One Shot.

I'm James Damato, your host in GameMaster.

And heroes, this week we have an incredible treat for you.

We're playing Casket Land by Marie Enger.

Casket Land is a weird Western powered by the apocalypse.

You might be familiar with Marie from their work in comics,

most notably Phytagon and Loathing,

but they've also done covers for lots of titles, like the Dungeons and Dragons run of Rick and Mortie.

And Marie's comics background is one of the coolest and most interesting things about Kasketland.

There's a lot of really cool game design stuff in

Casket land, but what really excites me is how much of the world building is driven by

Marie's art. The description of Casket Land on Marie's site calls it oblique occult Western role-playing game with a focus on making difficult decisions as a group.

A brutal cross of Southwestern Gothic, the Dust Bowl, Mad Max, and Vampire Hunter D.

Casket land centers around a dying town cut off by rows of caskets,

and vicious monsters unearthed by extreme drought and brutal winds.

And while that's a decent foundation,

Casket Land allows players to fill in the gaps,

with the only other real guidance coming from the art that Marie puts in both the rulebook and a few
