0:17.8	Hey guys, welcome back to We met at Acme and happy birthday to me. Today is my 35th birthday. I don't remember the last time my birthday was on a Sunday and I would have remembered because Sunday is when our new episodes come out. But I can't believe I'm turning 35 today. And I thought about it.
0:40.4	And I was like, what better way to celebrate than passing along the things that I've learned in my 35
0:46.3	years? So I made a list because, you know, I love my list, but it's more than four things.
0:52.6	It's time. It's 35 things.
0:54.8	And I really hope that you guys get something out of this. I got to be honest with you. I did.
1:00.1	I was making this list and learning. And I was like, oh, I have learned a lot. But I'm still learning. And I'm certainly not perfect. No one is, but I'm definitely not.
1:12.5	So let's get right into it.
1:14.5	In no particular order, but they happen to be in order, so I'll just order them.
1:18.6	Number one, true love, I know we're starting off really cheesy, okay, is unselfish.
1:26.1	It's not codependent and it's wanting the best for your partner and understanding,
1:33.5	okay, this is a hard part, that what's best for them isn't about you. So let me give you an example.
1:41.8	Boys trips, girls trips, encouraging your partner to do things for their family that might put
1:50.4	you in a less ideal position, right?
1:54.8	So let's say, and you know, this stuff might happen later down the line, this stuff could
1:59.3	be happening to you right now, but let's say, God forbid, your partner's parent is sick and they live, you know, 3,000 miles away.
2:09.2	You're going to encourage them to get on that flight and be there for their family. Is that good for you?
2:15.6	Especially if you're home with a kid? No, it's probably not good for you,
2:19.4	right? But you have to think about what's best for your partner because real, real love is not
2:26.9	about being selfish. And I think anyone who's found their person would agree with this, but someone who hasn't yet, and I wish I could
2:38.9	talk to myself in a past relationship, I didn't want to sacrifice and I didn't want to do things
2:45.5	to like, you know, that weren't necessarily for me.
