You get tired of me asking you every time if you get

what I just did. I mean it does show sort of a lack of it's sort of contradictory to what

you just said because it shows a lack of confidence in my ability to follow

your brilliant. No. Well I I trust trust me I know Brett lives here the rest of us are down here. I just get really excited about puns,

but this is actually a very serious topic. If you can't tell, we're talking about insanity.

And we take it very seriously. We've talked about this before on the prosecutors, but we decided with both some of the really

tragic things that have happened, particularly out of Massachusetts, and some of the discussion over the Idaho case that we had where we were surprised to say the least that Idaho doesn't have the insanity defense that we would have a legal brief's discussion about it.

So here we go.

Yes, it's somewhat shorter.

It's one way to keep ourselves less sad about these like multi episode cases when we talk about insanity and you know

before we started recording we talked a little bit about the thing that we've seen

when insanity comes and in our cases and remember insanity is different from

incompetence to stand trial. Insanity is at the time and the whole point is

that you you did not have your faculties to know what you were doing to be able to be held accountable criminally.

And the scary thing is we've seen it in our defendants who you would never expect it, right?
