All right, Kanna, today I wanted to ask you, what do the Black Panther Party and the Ku Klux Klan have in common?

Oh, I don't know.

Well, if you were to guess that they were both at one time stated enemies of the United States government on relatively equal footing, you would be correct.

Oh, wow.

Yeah.

But if I'm being perfectly honest, the Black Panthers, they were more of a public enemy to the government than the KKK.

I'm sure.

Like, I have no doubt in my mind.

Yeah.

But I did think it was interesting that they were lumped together in this one big list of five different organizations that the FBI swore to

demolish. Oh, what's the other organizations? Well, there's a few. There's the Socialist Workers Party,

but that's really just kind of like goes with the Communist Party because they were like a splinter

offshoot. There's the Puerto Rico, like goes with the Communist Party because they were like a splinter offshoot.

There's the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party.

There's the American Indian Movement.

And if you count like the Communist Party and the Social Workers Party kind of is one general threat of communism,

then you also can work in there the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, which was Martin Luther King Jr.'s group.

Yeah.

So, you know, all of these things were targeted by the FBI in some of the most infamous counterintelligence efforts ever to take place on U.S. domestic soil.
