Hi friend. I am doing my first podcast swap.

I've actually recently on an episode of Building Value with Jason Nellis,

who was also today's guest.

We actually go way back, which is crazy to just think about how long I have actually known him for because time just really flies, you know.

We actually have known each other for about 15 years, but just didn't really keep in touch because our careers just evolved in different directions.

We had collaborated and connected very early on in my career when I was a project manager for Joss Whedon's Dr Horrible

sing-along blog which if you know you know it was literally I think the first

high-quality webstream series on Hulu so it was just a really cool opportunity I had

and Jason was working at Hulu at the time. In today's episode though I really got to know him as a person. He is actually also a cancer

survivor and he shares how that shaped his path in life. You know I'm actually not

even actively seeking out cancer survivors, but for some reason, it's perhaps maybe a subconscious thing for me, but I have been really gravitating toward and feeling very inspired by everyone who has walked that path. So he does go into his

cancer journey but he also shares his professional path. He is now a chief

product officer. He's been head of marketing, he's been in business development, and he's just been up to really impactful work.

But like the theme for this whole show, it was not linear. He zigged and he zagged and when you do that it ultimately really

empowers you in the now and where you are. So we talk about all the things

around career, around health, around where he is at in life.
