Wrestling Soup is intended for a mature audience.

Wrestling Soup, I'm Anthony Thomas.

0:19.0

What's going on, Kevin?

0:21.5

What's up, man?

0:22.3

How much?

0:25.4

I just got done finishing up Monday night raw.

0:26.9

I was a little late to the party on it.

0:29.5

And I'm kind of happy the way it turned out. It's kind of funny trying to find myself getting back into the two-hour raws.

0:35.4

Now it's been a couple of weeks, and it still feels so foreign

0:39.6

to me because we've had wrestling for three hours on Monday nights for, I was like 14 years,

0:46.3

15 years, maybe even longer than that. Yeah. So it's like, here you are watching a show,

0:51.7

and it ends at the second hour. and I don't know how I feel

0:55.9

I think the storylines are getting pushed along a little bit faster which is nice there's less

1:00.2

commercials clearly but I don't know if they're I don't know if they figured out the formula for

1:05.8

the two hours yet for raw what do you think I thought it was a subpar raw I didn't like raw the last two weeks since it went to two hours. I'm almost afraid that it's going to be like this for the remainder of the year. I thought it was just, you know, to set up what do you call crown jewel? Yeah, yeah. Champion versus champion stuff, which, you know, there's no titles are going to change hands. So it's really just a big waxwork, you know, colorful thing. I don't think anything significant is going to happen except someone's going to get to have another belt that the Triple H made. That what is it called the title? The crown jewel. Yeah, that belt he put on display. That's the only real thing. That's the lore of the whole thing. Oh, who's going to win that big, beautiful, fancy belt and have a secondary belt to tow around? But I think it was, yeah, I haven't been that impressed with it. You know, I just haven't. It hasn't been, I've been happy to do shows on Monday with DT earlier. But other than that, you know, I don't even know if it's going to stay this way.

2:02.3

I mean, it's for the remainder of the year and won't they probably go back to three hours starting in the new year. Well, that's what I'm wondering. I figured that this is more the testing phase, since nobody really knows what WWE is going to do on Peacock as far as two hours or three hours. And I mean, there's even speculations on how the commercials are going to be presented.

2:19.9

Some people say that it's going to be presented as per the network where they're going to have commercial breaks. And other people are saying, no, that's not the case at all. So I'm in this wait and see kind of category for what they're going to do on Netflix. But this two hour thing, I kind of agree with you. I think the Gunther and Cody stuff is a little bit forced. I didn't like them shaking hands. That made no sense. The promo against each other was a little wobbly. You know, Gunther was fine, actually, which is really weird to say that Cody was the one out of his element. Gunther was fine being the smarmy German, you know, above it all. Like, I respect you, but, you know, you're still beneath me. You're a secondary champion. And then Cody saying, yeah, I was just waiting for that. I was expecting that insult, you know, like something, you know, because he was complimenting Cody saying that Cody was one of the few people he respected and didn't have a problem with in this company. And now, you know, and then, of course, but you're right, then there's the asterisk that he always puts. And he's getting good at doing that. Yes, he is, Gunther is really growing as a promo guy. I mean, I remember when we first talked about his promos, me and you were both

3:25.1

kind of like, uh, it needs some time, needs a little work. But I think he's finally becoming

3:30.3

comfortable with it. Because I mean, going from the days of being the Imperium leader to now,

3:35.0

he's almost just a breakout star on his own, which is, I think we always expected that even with

3:39.9

the IC run. but now he's

3:41.8

becoming the full package. I look forward to hearing his smart, his snarky comments on people
