Summary

What can you do to improve and grow as a leader? You've hired your team, and trained them, now what? Shelli Warren joins Natalie to share an incredible tool that will help you, the CEO, lead your team better, and provide clarity to you and your team members.

Role. Responsibilities. Results. Requirements. Renewal date. These are the 5 Rs that make up this document. Together, they will help you set your expectations out clearly, and walk people through feedback.

Shelli and Natalie discuss the 5 Rs, including why communicating results to the team member is important, the role of metrics in assessing results, and the idea that this is a living document that should be revisited regularly. Remember: Grey areas are frustrating for team members - the more you can convey your expectations in black and white, the easier it is for people to be able to deliver.

How can you integrate this tool into a formal performance review? How can you use this document if the team member’s performance is high / low? Shelli shares how this document can become a part of your team member’s journey, and help guide them and provide clarity in their duties.
