Our guest today is Gregory Benford.

He's a professor of physics at the University of California Irvine and is the author of over 20 novels including in the Ocean of Night, Foundation's Fear, the Berlin Project, Heart of the Comet, which he wrote with David Brin, and Bull of Heaven,

And we'll be speaking with him today about his new novel rewrite, a conceptual sequel to his

best-selling novel Timescape.

And today's show is brought to you by the new card game Mars Horizon Blastoff from Oroc Digital.

And there's an interesting story behind this game.

So, Oroc Digital has been working on a video game titled Mars Horizon about different space agencies competing to send humans to Mars.

And they noticed that the UK Space Agency was offering grants to anyone who was popularizing the idea of space exploration.

And so Orrok Digital applied for and received one of those grants.

And so that put them in touch with the UK Space Agency, who gave them feedback on Mars Horizon,

and part of that feedback was that it would make a great board game

now OROC Digital had already produced a rough version of their video game

design using physical cards just to test out the concepts but it hadn't occurred

to them to release that as a separate product.
