0:40.6	My fact this week is that in India you automatically get a government job if you qualify for the
0:46.0	Olympics, and if you win a medal you get a promotion.

0:50.4	Just the size of the promotion depends on the size of the medal.
0:54.2	The material from which the medal is made.
0:57.5	Yeah, you don't get a giant gold medal to you.

1:02.2	Yeah, essentially.
1:03.2	I think the level of promotion depends on how well you do generally, and it's not
1:07.8	just that the Olympics, it's in various other sporting competitions.
1:11.2	So this is a system which seems to exist at state to state, they have various different
1:15.2	policies from one state to the next, and it seems to also exist at a federal level.
1:19.6	And the truth is that to train to qualify for the Olympics is basically a full time job,
1:24.8	and a lot of people can't afford to take time out of work, like where do you find the
1:27.9	money to support that?
1:29.3	The athlete's diet can be very expensive.
