Welcome to the Daily Blade. The Word of God is described as the sword of the spirit, the primary spiritual weapon in the Christian's armor against the forces of evil. Your hosts are Joby Martin and Kyle Thompson, and they stand ready to equip men for the fight. Let's sharpen up.

All right, guys, let's close out the week. So all week we've been sounding

0:23.4

the alarm on a crisis of discernment that is quietly reshaping evangelical Christianity.

0:28.4

it seems to have worked. I mean, I've seen people of all stripes buy into the ideology

1:26.9

that politics and religion should have absolutely zero crossover.

1:32.0

And a lot of those people consider themselves to be evangelicals.

1:35.3

So here's a statement from the state of theology 2025.

1:38.9

Christians should not allow their religious beliefs to influence their political decisions.

1:44.7

54% of self-described evangelicals agree with this statement.

1:51.2

So more than half of evangelicals think that there is no place for the commands, dictates

1:56.3

laws and morals of God in the world of politics.
