Here we meet today's my brother Jay, who will be in every episode? I made it back to another episode after coming back up and down the East Coast. Hey, look at you. You can be just like a regular country singer. Regular country singer. We were listening. Okay, this is my minor gripe with Spotify. Is that on the way we just want on a trip up to New York immediately following our trip back from L.A. And not to New York City. We weren't like, we're not so cool as to be like, oh, I'm in L.A. on Tuesday and in the city on Thursday. You know, if you're going to London next week. No, we're just kidding. We're not going to. We're such world travelers. We are in L.A. and then we were driving up actually to upstate New York for our grandmother's funeral or celebration of life. Which I got to say before we dive into it too much, like was a proper celebration of life. Yeah, I would agree. It was pretty cool. There's like this one random line in name of the wind. And I do not know why it brings me such like comfort attached to death. Such comfort. Because I don't feel like it necessarily should. It's possible. I've just brought this up before. But like the, it's when, when, uh, Quoth receives his sword somewhere along the way from this like band of mercenaries

sessora he is uh meant to learn the entire history of the sword right because the swords

belong to the school that is presenting it to him and the idea is that like in order to properly

care for and understand the meaning of this like,

you know, device that you have been given is to understand its complete history,

which is called the like A-tas, I think.

But anyway, it doesn't really matter.

But throughout the course of it, both is learning like who carried it and how they died.

And basically what he's discovering is that every

person who carried it before him like died this like gruesome death. Right. Obviously not that

comforting. But then he has this line where he's like, I noticed that it never described anybody

is dying a natural death surrounded by fat grandchildren. And it's like just sort of this like

idea of like, like it's such an simple

way to describe what may be the ideal circumstances to sort of like to like pass on.

To pass on. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. So it's like this idea that sort of like your, you, you have cultivated

throughout the course of your life some amount of

good people who are going to be out there doing good things because you existed ever and it's like

i mean i'm probably reading into the line way too much but i think like it makes me think a lot

of like the legacy and like sort of like the ways in which you've guided people in your life and what they're able to do to make the world better as they go forward and hopefully do the same thing. So, anyway, yeah, it was, I've heard the phrase celebration of life, and I think that, like, probably some deep part of my mind was, like, you know, it almost seems like a polite way to refer to what's actually happening, like, which is like, you know, like term funeral just seems like, so dreary. It does. Like it. I mean, maybe it's like because of movies, but it reminds me of like rain, but like not the kind of rain that I like stare out the window and like look at.

Like a cold gray rain. Exactly. On a Tuesday morning. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway. Yeah. So it was it was kind of cool.
