Hello everyone, welcome back to The Hamilkast. I'm Jillian, and this week we're jumping right back in

with Paul Oakley-Stovall, the Angelicator's George Washington. Last week, Paul told me about his

incredible journey to Hamilton, and all about the years he spent working with Michelle and Barack

Obama. Not to mention all the amazing things happening in his life right now,

from working on his own creative projects to taking home a Tony for a strange loop.

Seriously, I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I was hanging on his every word,

so I hope you're all caught up, because we're diving right back in. Here's part two of my conversation

with Paul.

But wait, speaking of your other projects, I know we have a little bit of a limited time,

and I do want to get to the Patreon peep, so I'm going to ask you about your performance and stuff,

because I know they have a lot of questions, I'll give that to them, but I do want to ask you,

just tell me a little bit about your production company, because you said you're working on other

projects. Tell me all about that, because that seems amazing. Well, in the same vein that I started

writing plays, because I wasn't seeing characters that were like me and complex, I formed this

production company and started making films. So my first film, Buffalo, has won many prizes,

nationally and internationally, and was a finalist for the Iris Prize, which is the largest LGBTQ

film festival. It's in Cardiff Wales. My second film, Columbus, is an Afro Futurism Sci-Fi

a web series that won the best web series in New York at the Big Apple Film Festival. It was just

up for four Septimias Awards in Amsterdam, and I'm making that series while I'm on tour with Hamilton,

using some Hamilton actors, and so what we do is I look ahead at the tour schedule,
