Summary

A lot of people are busy, working hard, trying new things but not actually making progress. That’s what I call failure hustling. It’s when you use “I’m busy” or “I work hard” as a cover for the fact that nothing’s really moving forward. In this episode, I break down what failure hustling looks like, how to know if you’re doing it, and most importantly what to do about it. Show Notes:  [02:07]#1 You are always grinding but never growing. [07:47]#2 Your hustle is an identity rather than a strategy.   [17:38]#3 You must outgrow hustling. You don't know such things a failure hustler. Well, we talked about the race hustler in episode 1824. Today we're talking about the failure hustler. This episode is designed to call out the illusion of staying busy and working hard and allegedly trying different things while still not creating or producing tangible progress. This is called failure

1:12.7

hustling. Y'all never knew that was the term. That's the term. So let me describe it again.

1:17.3

Staying busy, working hard, trying different things while still not making tangible progress.

1:21.7

What you're doing is failure hustle. We put a term on that. We put a label on it. There's a common

1:26.5

cope. The cope is not somebody saying I'm a failure hustle. The cope is I work hard. I'm trying different things. I'm always busy and using busy as an excuse. These are all copes that are representative of being a failure hustler. That's the claim that I'm making here today. There's a cope that people use to keep themselves running on the treadmill of these things, effort, trying different things, being busy, et cetera. I'm going to call out what it looks like. I will describe what it feels like so you can self-identify if I happen to be discussing you. I'm not going to leave you in alerts though once you self-identify. I'm going to tell you what to do and where to go to fix the problem as well. And what you're going to do is join work on your game at university. I'll tell you that up front. Let me make my case and I'll remind you again at the end. Point number one, today's topic, once again, is the failure hustler. What exactly is this? Number one, I'm going to describe the failure hustlers, okay? Number one, you are always grinding but never growing. If you are always grinding and never

growing, you might be a failure hustler. Now, there's this guy, I think he's still alive. His name was
