| 0:23.8 | Today's topic is how to shift from trying hard to taking over. |
| 0:30.5 | And of course, these are not the same thing. |
| 0:33.1 | As we talked about in yesterday's master class, trying hard and putting in the effort, they matter. |
| 0:38.4 | Of course they matter. You cannot achieve success without effort. This is a scientific equation. |
| 0:43.3 | You cannot become successful without putting something in and without consistently showing up to put in something. |
| 0:49.3 | However, there are levels to this shit. We're going to talk about those levels. If you want to take over and be |
| 0:54.2 | the dominant entity in any space, whether that's a community, a country, a team, a business group, |
| 1:01.1 | a pod that you're working in, whatever. You need to do more than simply outwork the rest of the |
| 1:06.2 | world or even outwork the people in that space. There's always somebody else who can work harder |
| 1:10.4 | than you. And you can't outwork everybody all put together. So you need a different and a better strategy. Today, I'm going to give you that different and better strategy. So please listen closely. Point number one, today's topic, once again, is how to shift from trying hard to taking over. Number one, first of all, you've got to stop hoping and you got to start deciding. This starts as a mindset. It is not, you don't start with the things you're going to do. You start with the way that you're thinking. First thing you must do is stop hoping that hard work is going to produce a desired result and stop believing whoever told you that just work harder is going to solve all your problems. They lied to you. They often don't know what they're talking about. Or they gave you something that they actually believe that sounds good because they work hard and now they're successful, but they have an inaccurate formula. Just because someone works hard and they become successful does not mean working hard as a reason they became successful. Because they're hardworking people who are not successful. Is this true? Of course it is. So if you are using hard work as your formula for success, |
| 2:02.9 | you are placing a bet. I hope this is a bet that hard work alone is going to change the outcome or |
| 2:08.2 | alter your trajectory. I would bet that it probably will not. It could if you work hard on |
| 2:13.4 | the right things. Now, if you're working hard blindly, I call it grinding blindly. I did a whole |
| 2:18.5 | episode on this concept of grinding blindly. That was episode number 1697, three ways to avoid |
| 2:24.7 | grinding blindly forever and actually have a plan. Now, you need to make your process about where |
