like excited because it isn't about that for once. And it's just about him being an asshole. And we can finally just talk about him being an asshole because he's an asshole. Yeah. Asshole is a very light way of putting it. I have so many thoughts. The word I used the other day was brat. And I feel like that's very accurate. It's accurate, but it's also mild. I feel like brats can be less evil than this.

We shall. We shall. Just a nose dive straight into it. So, backstory slash context is, if you've heard, Spirit Airlines is no more. They laid off 17,000 people in the process. And Jesse has more information on the details surrounding it, but... Yeah. It's bad. It's so many people that are devastated by it.

I mean, one of my best friends, Leslie, I actually met her. You could say I met her because she was a spirit airline's flight attendant for 16 years, might I add. And we bonded because like when we met at a meetup, she was like, by the way, I'm a flight attendant if you ever want free flights. I was like, say what? And then we became friends over that.

Yeah, I was her like significant other on paper for like a year. I had free flights with Spirit. Like, yeah, I'm very familiar with Spirit. And obviously people have made fun of Spirit and been like, if you fly Spirit, you're going to become a Spirit. You know what I mean? Like that type of thing. a lot of it has been like he he ha ha jokes but the reality is that spirit is one of the only

budget airlines that existed other than frontier airlines type of thing. And I think that like a lot of it has been like he-he-haha jokes. But the reality is that

Spirit is one of the only budget airlines that existed other than Frontier Airlines. And now this really is going to fuck with a lot of shit. I mean, I was just trying to get flights for next month to Miami. I said, whoa, this is crazy. Like genuinely a lot higher than they normally are, which was already happening because of jet fuel prices and stuff. It's awful. But anyway, what happened was this was the second time that Spirit Airlines was filing for bankruptcy. And mind you, like a year ago, I want to say, all of the employees, they got word of like, we might be, you know, going bankrupt, we don't know, we're not 100% sure. And then they told all the employees like, actually, we're totally fine. Everything is slaying super hard. Don't worry. So everybody was like, few, okay, they continue to work. Then they got word of the second bankruptcy. And the company literally emailed all of them and assured them, the company and the union assured them that what happened wasn't going to happen. Like they were just like, guys, don't worry.

Like, I know you're hearing a lot on the news. It's not true. Like, we're not shutting down.

How long before did they like send the research? Days. Days. So they sent that and everybody

went to work as normal. Thank God, Leslie doesn't work on Fridays. Because if she would have worked on

Fridays, she literally would have been one of

the other flight attendants who were stranded in the places where they landed to while they were

working. And then Spirit landed and said, that's it. We're not taking any more flights because
