Summary

Another week, another Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) verbal inanity. This time he claimed he was more afraid of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, than the insurrectionists who actually attacked the Capitol on January 6th. In further "I'm Just A Bill" news, the American Rescue Plan passed and was signed into law by President Biden, all without a single GOP vote, leaving Lewis to wonder what exactly Republican lawmakers think their job in Washington is. Helping the American people doesn't seem to be it. This week also marked the one year anniversary of the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown, and every news outlet spent it memorializing and remembering a hell that is ongoing. What does Lewis remember? The vertigo-inducing moment when he realized the leader was going to nothing to protect the American people. And it was one year ago, on March 13, 2020, that Lewis performed for the last time prior to the lockdown. He then fled the scene and hightailed it back to New York to spend the next 10 weeks in isolation. On the plus side he got to visit a Walmart for the first time. This week's rant subjects include a list of new Amendments to the Constitution, a Norwegian perspective on safe social distancing, Fruity Pebbles coffee creamer, skeuomorphic design in software UI design, cell phone bills, the corporatization of children's gifts, teachers being deemed non-essential during the pandemic, people driving while using their cell phones as speaker phones, and a rebuttal to last week's rant about Netflix and having to read subtitles for foreign films. The live rants come from the historic Hoyt Sherman Theater in Des Moines, IA.  Lewis’ new special, Thanks For Risking Your Life is available now! https://tlbrecords.lnk.to/LewisWE New episodes arrive every Wednesday. And the rubber chicken says, hey, maybe I'll run to be the governor of Texas because I'm smarter than Governor Abbott is. That's for sure. That's son of a bitch. I know more than he does, and I'm a rubber chicken.

The Stupid Just Get Stupider.

0:49.9

Okay.

0:50.9

I'm calling it that because I can't really say that Ron Johnson gets stupider by the second

0:57.5

that I didn't want to give him the title for two weeks in a row of the rancash. But once again,

1:03.6

unbelievably, he's on some show that I'd never heard of. God knows. You know, who knows. And he went on and said that he wasn't

1:13.7

really afraid of the folks who attacked the Capitol on January 6th, that he knew that those people

1:22.7

loved this country and they respected law enforcement. They would never do anything to break the law.

1:29.1

So he wasn't concerned. Well, maybe he should be concerned now. The show was the Joe Pagg show.

1:36.0

Maybe I'm just out of the loop. But he said that if it had been a bunch of folks from Black Lives Matter

1:43.1

and Antifa, who someday someone's going to

1:46.7

have to explain the massive Antifa movement, that he certainly would have been scared.

1:55.4

He would have been concerned.

1:57.0

He would have been upset.

1:58.3

Are you, please, Ron, stop it. You know, well, it's just kind of bored. It's racist. Okay. Come on already. Enough is enough. Okay? Just shut up. If you don't know what to say, don't say it. Tell your pals at the bar.

2:17.9

You're in Wisconsin.

2:18.9

There are 100 bars you can go to and tell people this nonsense.

2:23.3

And maybe they'll listen to you.

2:25.9

You're the senator.

2:26.9

But I don't know.
