Summary

When a British businessman, Neil Heywood, is found dead in a hotel room in China’s megacity Chongqing, a series of events began that set in motion political change that would influence the next decade in Chinese politics. A flamboyant politician, Bo Xilai’s wife, Gu Kailai, was tried for the murder of Neil Heywood, but was she framed by her husband’s political enemies in an attempt to keep him from becoming a member of the uber-powerful nine-person Politburo Standing Committee?

When British-born businessman, Neil Haywood was found deceased in his hotel room in China's mega city Chong-Ching on November 14th 2011. It appeared as if he had died due to an

Neil had called China home for the last two decades of his life and worked as an intermediary, making Western companies to Chinese politicians with decision-making power.
