Summary

0:33.5	Yeah, so on the last plus episode, we did Gazing into the Afterlife Irene Blinston, who during her doctorate program in the early 2000s, was part of a study into the, was it, the psychomantium.
0:46.9	Yeah.
0:47.1	And the psychomantium is a setup that induces an alter state of consciousness.
0:51.3	And essentially, the participant would be in an enclosed, you know, light
0:54.6	controlled space. And they stare into a mirror. Well, not into the mirror. Or yes, it's at an angle,
1:00.5	right? They couldn't see their reflection, but the mirror would create a mirrored surface that they
1:05.3	would stare at for about an hour. And the whole purpose was the participants in the study had just
1:10.7	lost a loved one.
1:11.7	So it was to test whether the psychomantium would help them get over their grief.
1:17.1	So Irene was a part of this program and many of the participants, as we reported on the
1:22.8	last plus show, had incredible interactions, either seeing things in the surface of the mirror, like
1:29.1	old school scrying or having visual stimulation. Some people reported feeling unseen hands,
1:36.6	touching them. Well, it gets rather wild, doesn't it? Yeah. It does absolutely escalate. Some
1:41.3	people heard voices of their loved ones. There were even apparitions
1:44.9	appearing. So pretty bizarre stuff. And it was funny because while we were covering that,
1:50.3	we were saying to ourselves, you know, this really does sound like just open spirit communication.
