Summary

In this episode, I’m talking about why you need to stop explaining yourself so much. When you step into your presence and dominance, you don’t have to justify every action or decision you make. Explaining less not only saves you time and energy, but it also makes you look more powerful. The less you talk about why you did something, the more people respect it. Let’s break down exactly why this works. Show Notes:Β  [01:11]#1 Explaining yourself to other people is a sign unconsciously of submission and subordination. [06:58]#2Β  As a general rule, the more explaining you need to do to a person, the less chance they will get it, no matter what you say. [16:11]#3 Get better at message clarity.Β  [20:15]Recap Next Steps: πŸŽ“ Work On Your Game University Get structured, get paid β†’ WorkOnYourGameUniversity.com πŸ“§ Dre’s Daily Emails (Free) Clarity. This is Drey Baldwin. And work on your game is the system that turns discipline into dominance.

Today's topic is stop explaining yourself.

0:26.8

This episode today is about why, as you step into your forward levels of presence and dominance,

0:34.7

you don't need to lay out and or justify your reasons for your actions or

0:40.8

decisions nearly as much or as often as you've been doing up to this point, or as much or as

0:46.8

often as you have done in the past. On top of the fact that less explanation means you're also

0:53.5

just on a practical level, saving yourself time

0:56.0

and being more efficient with this very valuable resource, also being more efficient with your

1:01.0

viable resource of communication. And generally speaking, as a general rule, the less you explain

1:06.9

things, the more powerful you are perceived as being. Let's get into that when we get into our points. Point number one, today's topic once again is stop explaining yourself. Point

1:15.1

number one, explaining yourself to other people is a sign unconsciously of submission and

1:20.9

subordination. When you're explaining yourself to someone else, then you are basically submitting

1:25.2

to them that you need to explain yourself to them

1:28.5

and you are subordinating yourself to that person. In other words, you're letting them know

1:32.7

that you see them as superior to you in some way. Therefore, you need to explain yourself to them.

1:39.6

That's what explaining yourself does. That's what you are unconsciously telling another person

1:43.4

when you explain yourself to them. You may have to explain yourself to your boss because your boss has authority.

1:49.2

You may explain yourself when you're a child, explain yourself to your parents or to anyone who has

1:53.2

authority over you when they indeed do have authority because they have the position of authority.

1:57.3

But when you start explaining yourself to someone who doesn't have authority, you are giving up your own
