Summary

In this episode, I’m talking directly to the old heads of men 35 and up, especially those of y’all who interact with younger dudes. I explain what “old head” means and where the term came from, at least from my experience growing up. If you’re 40+, you definitely qualify. This is part one of a two-part message, so if that’s you, tune in today and tomorrow. I got something real specific y’all need to hear. Show Notes:  [02:21]#1 Past stories are unwanted. You don't want to be the person talking about what you used to be as if you are compensating for what you are not today.

0:05.1

Don't be in that position.

0:08.0

Work on your game. Work on your game. Work on your game. Work on your game.

0:14.2

This is Drey Baldwin. And work on your game is the system that turns discipline into dominance.

0:20.1

Today's topic is today and tomorrow I need to

0:23.7

talk to the old heads. If you consider yourself an old head, I'll explain what the old head is in a

0:30.4

moment. I got a message for the old heads encompassed today and tomorrow's episodes of the Work on Your Game Masterclass.

0:39.5

So this one I thought of from some activity that I had, first of all, noticed and then

0:46.2

par took in on where else, social media.

0:50.5

And I heard some supposedly younger people referring to the older generation of males using this term.

0:59.7

Now, it's a term that I have not heard used often recently.

1:05.0

It's not something that I heard a lot in the recent discourse, but I do remember it from my upbringing. In my teenage years,

1:13.0

I come from the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We would use this term when we were talking

1:17.2

to any men who were over the age of, let's say, 25 when I was 15, 16. If you were 25 or up,

1:23.8

you were an old head to us. And being that times have changed, and people are communicating in different ways these days. I have a message for anyone who would consider themselves an old head. I would say today, maybe it's 25 and up, depending on who you're talking to. But let's just say people who are in the mid-30s are old. Let's just say 35 enough. Definitely once you hit 40, I think you could be considered an old head because you're old enough to be the father of somebody who is legally a grown adult, I think. So it's fair enough to call you old head if you're 40 and up. So definitely 40 and up, but we can even extend this in 35, depending on who you're dealing with. So this message today and tomorrow is for all the old heads. These are men age 35 and up. Now, that's what I'm talking to if you are listening to this right now,

2:02.2

especially those of you who do any engaging with other males who are not old heads.

2:10.5

So if you're age 35 and up and you engage in any way, shape, or form with males who are under the age of 35,

2:17.3

this message is specifically targeted to you. Listen closely today and tomorrow. Point number one, today's topic, once again, is a message to the old heads. I just told you what an old head is. That's the first point, what it is. There's a man in his mid-30s or older who tends to be engaging with people who are significantly younger. Usually people in their early 20s are younger.

2:38.7

So let's say if you're 23 or under, you might look at somebody who's 35 and call them an old head just because of the generational gap. And somebody who is 28, you might look at somebody who's

2:43.5

45 and consider them to be in old head. So again, just the generational gaps. So to keep it simple,

2:48.7

let's just say an old head is a man who is at least a

2:51.6

generation older than another person who's referring to you as that. So usually someone
