In this episode, I share about my transformative journey with plant medicine in Peru. I explain the physical sensations, the discomfort I felt and how I worked through it, the visions I saw, the reflections I had, and the profound lessons I learned throughout the experience. Hello and welcome to another episode of the Mark Groves podcast.

0:06.7

Today I'm coming at you with a solo episode. I'm going to dive deeper into my experience in Peru,

0:13.9

give you a little more details on it and my experience with ayahuasca.

0:19.0

And also, if you're watching the video of this, you'll notice that I'm in a

0:24.1

booth, like a phone booth, basically, and I'm at WeWork. And, you know, I think I just wanted to

0:29.6

mention this because so often we don't start, because I don't have the right camera, I don't have

0:35.9

the perfect microphone, I don't have, we have so many bullshit excuses so that we don't have the right camera. I don't have the perfect microphone. I don't have, we have so many

0:38.6

bullshit excuses so that we don't have to begin, so that we don't have to be vulnerable.

0:44.1

And, you know, this is often the pursuit of perfection actually getting in the way of even

0:49.1

greatness, you know, this idea that it all has to be perfect. It's such a lie. But again, it's our way of not

0:56.7

having to put ourselves out there. So I hope that my podcast recording in a booth inspires you

1:04.5

to hit record wherever you're at. There are so many successful creators, teachers, all that

1:10.1

kind of stuff who are defying all the quote-unquote rules.

1:14.4

The rules are what get in the way.

1:17.4

You know, like people want real.

1:19.5

They want truth.

1:20.8

They want honesty.

1:22.7

They want vulnerability.

1:24.0

They want to witness someone taking a risk.

1:27.3

So take that risk. So I went to

1:31.4

Peru, the end of November and beginning of December. I went for six days into the jungle. So I was

1:39.2

there for a total of 10 days, 10 or 11, but six of them were spent deep in the jungle in the Amazon. So I landed
