Welcome back, everybody, to The Incomparable.

I'm your host, Jason Snell.

We're here to talk about V for Vendetta.

This is a comic from the 80s by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. Over many years in the 80s, it was actually like a few of the Allen Moore, early Allen Moore project sort of stopped and then had to be restarted a few years later and there were unpublished issues. But the beauty of it is, in the end,

they collected it as a giant trade paperback that has the whole thing in it. And so if you've been,

if you read it at any point after the late 80s, you've probably read it in book form, which is,

I think, the best way to read it. And we'll talk about that maybe a little bit for those who,

on the panel who read it.

And we'll also talk about the film, which is much more accessible in many ways, from 2005 directed by James McTeague, who is a longtime collaborator of the Wachowski's.

They didn't direct it because they had James McTeague do it, but they did write it and produce it.

So there's a lot of Wischowski in V for Vendetta as well.

And of course, the movie stars Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving in a very interesting performance in so many ways.

Like trivia question interesting as well as, I I think good. Let me introduce my panelists

who are going to talk about V for Condetta with me because that's something I should probably do laughing there.
