Music Texas. Small talk sucks, so let's dive in. Stephen Beard Jr. was the kind of man people remembered. He was funny, smart, hardworking, and

amiable. After high school, he joined the Navy Air Corps before heading off to college, and he built

his life step by step, always always working and always moving forward.

In his early 20s, Stephen married Elise, who was a Neiman Marcus model, and together they had

three children, Stephen III, Becky, and Paul. When the kids were young, Stephen was working

in radio and advertising in Dallas.

He started at the very bottom, learned the ropes, and slowly climbed his way up.

After more than a decade in radio, he pivoted to television.
