0:10.4	Today on the James Altiger Show, we're all allowed to deserve more or to want more in our lives.
0:19.0	And to believe it's possible.
0:21.0	Well, that's how it started. I was so unhappy on my law job and I had no idea what to do.
0:26.0	I'd never taken a writing class. I'd never written anything ever.
0:29.0	I wasn't even a big reader. But one night after I came home from the law job, I was so unhappy.
0:36.0	I just started to write stories about my childhood.
0:38.0	And there were three or four stories I wrote in a row that all had this exuberance in them.
0:42.0	Memories of times that I was exuberant and free.
0:45.0	And as I wrote, I thought, God, this is the first time I felt happy in a long time writing.
0:49.0	And I would look up at the clock after I finished these stories and four hours had passed.
0:53.0	And it seemed like 20 minutes.
0:55.0	I took this Kierkegaardian leap of faith into the abyss and quit my law job, which was paying me well into six figures
1:01.0	to take a $23,000 a year job doing data entry.
