We're back in the Journey to the West, where the Buddhist monk, Schwanzong, has been tasked

by the heavens with retrieving the holy scriptures from the Thunder Clap Temple in the West.

Because he's not particularly great at traveling or defending himself at all, he has four

companions, heavenly beings that have been transformed into monsters and to our redemption

arcs of their own.

The first is Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, an 800-year-old monkey who can shapeshift, turn

each of his hairs into a full-sized monkey clone, has a magical staff that can change size

and weight, and who's basically invincible.
