0:20.4	All right, welcome to day three of this week as we continue in Galatius chapter 5.
0:23.9	We're going to pick it up in verse 25. And the Bible says, if we live by the spirit,
0:27.9	let us also keep in step with the spirit. Let us not become conceded provoking one another,
0:34.7	envying one another. I want to talk to you about one of the things that the enemy
0:39.5	is just eating our lunch on. You see, what Paul says is that when we walk in the spirit and we
0:45.6	keep in step with the spirit, then what we don't do is we don't spend any time comparing
0:51.9	ourselves to one another, that we should not be conceded, thinking that we're
0:57.2	better than other people, and we should not live a life of envy thinking we're not as good as
1:02.1	other folks. You see, this is the classic comparison trap and comparison kills. And what's crazy
1:09.1	is that we walk around every single day with these little comparison devices in our phone.
1:15.3	When we get on social media and scroll, it is a comparison trap.
1:19.9	Because the problem with comparison is that it's always a lose-lose situation.
1:25.4	Sometimes you compare yourself to other people and you're filled with
1:28.6	conceit. You think, well, look at how much better my life is than all of these other losers out there
1:34.4	or most often than we are filled with envy. And we think my life is not nearly as good as these folks
1:42.2	that I'm looking at. And the problem is, and even though we know this in our brain, it's hard to feel this
1:47.5	in our heart, you see, you were comparing what you know about yourself to what you don't
1:51.6	know about other people, that you were comparing everybody else's filtered life with your
1:56.6	unfiltered life.
1:57.9	You're comparing their highlight reel to your B-roll, and I'm telling you,
2:02.5	it leads to things that are not from the father. It either leads to pride or condemnation.
