Summary

The goal of the Mormon Stories"Circling the Wagons" conference was to create a space where LGBTQ or SSA individuals and their families and allies could gather to acknowledge, explore and honor shared experiences. In this session conference attendees share their stories. During this interfaith service, LDS bishop Kevin Kloosterman, Episcopal Reverend Canon Mary June Nestler, and Reverend Jimmy Creech share their perspectives on church and LGBTQ issues. Julia Hunter performs on the violin. Allen Miller conducts.

0:43.6	Spirit of the Lord and gain a greater understanding of our position as sons and
0:48.6	daughters of God. I'm grateful for the opportunity I have to sit in the
0:52.8	presence of three fine religious leaders who will be speaking to us later. We'd
0:57.6	like to welcome especially Bishop Kevin Clusterman from Chicago, a bishop in
1:04.7	the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We'd like to welcome the
1:08.7	Reverend Cannon, Mary June Nestler, executive officer of the Utah diocese of
1:15.0	the Episcopal Church, and we'd also like to welcome Jimmy Creech, one of our
1:23.2	one of the great allies and advocates of our cause and truly a humble and
1:33.0	righteous man of God. I'm grateful that I've been able to get to know him this
1:37.0	last week. I'd like to especially thank if I might Katrina Barker who will be
1:44.1	leading us in the music and Russ, daily, who will be helping us on the organ. Now,
1:52.6	I didn't know this, but when I asked Russ to do this, but this is a very, very
1:59.5	special week for Russ. Russ and his partner will be married on Friday. So he was
2:07.6	thrilled to have the opportunity to begin the week focusing on what is as
2:12.6	important to him as it is to all of us the love of our Heavenly Father. Let's
