Okay, so what do I want to talk about here?

I want to talk about Archimedes and the Overton window.

Archimedes in the Overton Window. Just to define a few terms here, the Overton

Window is a construct or a device that is used to talk about the acceptable boundaries of public discourse.

If you get invited onto any TV talk show and you start talking in certain ways,

somebody is going to cut off your microphone.

And that is because you are outside the Overton window.

Now the Overton window moves.

So the Overton window moves. So the Overton window defines the acceptable boundaries of discourse.

And if you're outside that window,

then you're either ignored into oblivion

or you're canceled fiercely or you are you know the system knows

how to hammer you good so that's the that's the overton window and so when you see a

talking heads television show with a liberal Democrat on one end of the desk and a conservative on the other end of the desk,

the fact that they're both on there talking means that both of them are inside the window.
