This is the Baymaw podcast with Marty Solomon. I'm his co-host, Brent Millings. Today we are jumping

back into the chosen with the first episode of season three. It's going to be back, Marty.

It is good to be back. I cannot tell you how many times I have been asked in digital spaces on

book tour. When are you guys going to do season three commentary? I feel like you should have started

by now. When is it coming? And the time has arrived. It's here. And we are very excited.

The producers at the chosen had the audacity to release episodes while you were on book tour.

I know. I know it. It took me a while to get caught up. But we managed to do it. I had to wait

for my family because they enjoy it so much. But we're here and we're ready. I will say the dream

is to someday perhaps release these episodes much closer. Maybe even the week of their release.

I don't know. We'll see what we can pull off. But yeah, we didn't necessarily intend for it to be

such a delay. And these are bonus episodes. It's not like we have to fit them into the rest of

our schedule. That's the stretch goal is to get closer to their release. But we do what we can.

We, you know, I joke about their release schedule. They're obviously not beholden to what our

schedule is. We can't always control what our schedule is. And so, you know, we just do the best

so we can. But do the best we can. It's good to get back into it. I feel like we should just

hit that spoiler horn and dive in. Oh, how I miss the spoiler horn. Hit it.

Okay. So we're starting a few years earlier in 8024. And when we see Alphius

being shaken down by a Roman officer that's Matthew's dad. Then Matthew comes around the corner

and kind of he's like, Oh, I'll take care of it. And there's this whole awkward thing where

the Roman officers like, yeah, but you told me to. And he's like, uh, yeah, but it's okay. And so,

you know, turns out Matthew is their new tax collector and called in the debts of his own

parents. And then must have had second thoughts. Yeah. Or based on the conversation, maybe tried to
