Quickly developed into something bigger as more and more students arrived their demands grew louder

They refused to back down and stop protesting despite threats of punishment

Eventually regular citizens old and young and even members of the military and minor government officials joined the protest

Group from all walks of life for now protesting for change demanding their own various reforms

Comments party leaders grew fearful that the protesters wanted to not just push for some changes

But to maybe overthrow the party itself and they debated about how to end the protests

While some members did want to listen to the students demands and engage in a dialogue

Others wanted to end the protests as quickly as possible without acknowledging the protesters demands for reforms
