So you were at the University of Texas.

I was.

I am a 7th generation Texan and I had a great opportunity to say, well, let's just move from

Houston to Austin and to continue my studies of economics and

political science through the lens of a great five-year plan at the University of Texas

and it was at when I was at UT that I learned a lot and really began to track down what would

eventually be a wine career. How did that get started? You know Levy it all

starts with a girl and here was I was dating this lovely lady with a great name, Anne Elizabeth Taylor, and we were

dating and it was my junior year and she says there is a wine tasting class at the student union

Thursday nights from six to eight for eight weeks for 80 bucks.

So I did the quick mental math, you know, the economist's mine and went, wait a minute,

Thursday night's always the night that we go out and this could be a pre-party at eight weeks for $80. This is the greatest deal ever

heard in my life. So I said to book it, let's go. Well that sounds like it worked out

for everybody involved. It did. It was fantastic because what it, the first time in my life I think I truly had the

where the light bulb went off and I still remember it as it was yesterday that the

left brain and right brain talked to each other. So we had this great wine teacher.
