I was recently preparing a talk for an event I'm going to be doing in a few weeks,

back east somewhere somewhere and I had occasion to review something that I had

had learned from the late Bill Mouser in my book book Future Men, which was written a number of years ago, I had

begun at the start of the book with outlining or leaning on Bill Mouser's approach to masculinity, what he calls the five aspects

of masculinity.

Now I define masculinity as the glad assumption, the glad assumption of sacrificial responsibility.

What Mouser does is he outlines five areas in which men are supposed to take up that

sacrificial responsibility and these are the five aspects.

Men are lords, husbands, men are saviors, men are sages, and men are glory bearers.

So what he does is he looks at scripture and say what what does God call men to do,

particularly men who bear the office of husband or father, and father.

What does masculinity look like when we are pursuing our lives the way God wants us to pursue them.

Lords are, to be a Lord is to be an explorer, an adventurer,

someone who takes the initiative.

It's sort of someone who is pursuing the Dominion mandate.

God gave the cultural mandate to our first parents,

they're just the entire human race was there, but it was just
