There's something about the midnight hour, or late into the night, when for me at least

I want to ponder deep philosophical questions.

So that's what I want to talk about today here on the Council of Trend Podcast.

I'm your host, Catholic Answers Apologist and Speaker, Trent Horn.

And here is the deep question I want to talk about in today's podcast.

What is time?

St. Augustine once remarked that when people he knew what time was when people didn't ask him,

but when people asked him, he didn't know.

So when you start to think about time, we experience time, right?

We use terms like past, present and future.

We think about time all the time.

We were the most temporal generation that's ever existed.

I mean, think about it.

You go back in time to avoid the pun and people didn't really think about time that much.

You got up when the sun rose and you went to bed when the sun set.

But now we have all of these devices to keep us synchronized and scheduled down to the very

second sometimes.

But what is this time that seems to govern our lives?

That's what I didn't want to talk about today here on the Council of Trend Podcast.

And it's important to talk about this because time, questions about time,

ultimately get to questions about who God is.
