As the three, who always speak as one, set out, Abraham accompanied them for a bit of the way,

clearly not willing for the wondrous encounter to come to an end.

Maybe they arrived at that very spot where Lot and Abraham had parted ways overlooking the lush valley. But as they look over the scene, the Lord begins talking

aloud to himself. He asks if he should hide from Abraham what he's about to do. He shows that

he doesn't see the way we see a moment in time.
