And today, we're talking about Steven Seyadion, a director of, oh no, Will, how could we have done this?

Pornography?

That's right, folks.

We're talking about porn again, but not just porn, because this filmmaker is one of the only

porn directors to become a crossover figure in the world of both porn and cult movies.

But the way that he did it is interesting in that if you look at his filmography, technically he only has one non-porn film, feature film, Dr. Caligari.

And that film, though, is a culmination of the style that he would utilize all the way since he started directing features.

Technically, he's not credited on Night Dreams.

His first credit is Cafe Flesh, but Night Dreams is also one of his own films.

He has an interesting life and interesting career. First of all, he designed the iconic

poster for Brian DePaulman's Dressed to Kill. You know, you've seen that poster, the legs.

Oh, yeah. He also designed the

poster for The Fog by John Carpenter. As you alluded to, he made several very strange and

arty adult films. Cafe Flash from 1982 is one of the only adult films to have

crossover success as a midnight movie, than played in some mainstream movie theaters.

And what's notable is it seems to have been more successful as a cult midnight movie than as a

porn film.

Now, I've read that there was an R-rated edit of this movie.

And I don't know if it's ever been released.
