to the podcast I've got Chris Rowe of row hunting resources we've been diving

through a bunch of different elk scenarios with the elk season

eminent here 2017 fall season coming up. Today we're going to talk about calling

to bedded elk and it's one thing you know you hear

people say don't mess with them within their beds don't call to them don't don't

you know leave them alone.

And there's times when I would say, yeah,

if you're on a really big bowl and, you know,

you've got no one around and you don't want to pressure the elk,

I say a lot of times back out, let them get up and moving

around that afternoon or that evening and then go ahead and get back on them. But I want to ask

Chris today about calling to bedded elk and when is that tactic

you know most effective and and how he goes about that.

So let's hear it, Chris.

Oh, yeah, I mean, I think you set it up perfectly.

I mean, you can start a debate with, you a dozen guys together guys are gathered together and

everybody's going to have a different opinion. For me I absolutely love getting in next to the bed and calling them out.

I mean, especially if we're talking about a herd bowl with cows,

because, you know, okay, let me take a step back I always I am

open to the idea of going in and working a bit of abet goal. But I am only going to do it if the wind is consistent

and I can play the wind and make sure the wind stays in my favor.
