to introduce our two guests. Joanna Brooks is a professor and the chairman of the English

Department at San Diego State University. She's also a board member of the Open Stories Foundation.

She has a website and a Twitter feed and she writes as Ask Mormon Girl. She has a brand new book

coming out. Tell us the title Joanna. It's called The Book of Mormon Girl. Stories from an American

faith. And Joanna is just, she's been around this scene of faith transitions in a Mormon

LDS context for, I don't know, two decades. Is that make you feel old Joanna? Love it. I'm

embracing 40. Brian Johnston is also a member of the Open Stories Foundation. He's been

partner collaborator with me for what, Brian? Seven years? Yes, several years. I'm trying to

remember how far it goes back, but we've worked on a bunch of projects together. Yeah, and Brian's

done a lot of great stuff online. He's specifically done a lot of work in helping people in their early

and their faith crisis, trying to decide if they're going to stay, how they're going to stay,

and if they're not going to stay, how to minimize the damage. He's also done a lot of work with

mixed faith couples, where one member of a couple believes in the other dozen and trying to help
