Can you believe it?

So welcome, good to have you aboard.

I want to talk about something that my daughter-in-law just recently reminded me of,

and that was a little sticker that Cannon Press used to

distribute, and it was a picture of CS Lewis with the caption, Story Always Wins.

Story always wins.

wins.

One of the things that we have to realize in this time of cultural turmoil

is that the left has no stories.

But what they do have is a narrative,

and they stick to their narrative.

And in a matchup between story and narrative, Story always wins, but Narrative is going to triumph every

time over those people who don't have a narrative and who don't have stories.

Now, what do I mean by story?

I'm reminded of something that Tolkien once said when he was asked if he believed that his tales had ever happened anywhere.

And Tolkin's response was telling.

He said, one hopes.

One hopes. Now now both Tolkien and Lewis believed that

storytellers were not inventing anything ex-Neilo they were not just coming up
